Baseball Season { & Mets Ticket Offer}

This is the first year Ryder is old enough to play baseball (actually t-ball) for Downtown Little League. I remember last year he was bummed because he didn’t make the June birthday cutoff and be able to play with some of his friends. During the baseball season, we always walk by the ball field in our neighborhood to watch the games in action. It’s the one sport I could say that Ryder really shows interest in.

Practice is usually once week as well as a game. You can usually find our family on the field every Saturday bright and early cheering for the REDS! Pier 25 park is an amazing back drop for all of the games. The girls love coming along too to cheer for their brother! The actual games are a riot to watch, no one keeps score, everyone is happy, and half the teammates are either looking at the birds or rolling in the grass while playing outfield. But everyone loves hitting ball and running the bases.

It’s unquestionably great thing and Ryder enjoys being part of a team and it’s really all that matters. At the end of the day, its all about teamwork and that’s exactly what they are accomplishing. We are really blessed to have such a strong community living downtown as well. We’ve met so many new friends and families from being part of the league.

A few weeks back we went to our first Met’s game of the season. It was nice to see Ryder’s interest spark even more than it did last year when we attended the games. The kids had an absolute blast while we are at the ballpark. Citifield is so incredibly kid friendly, I promise there is never a dull moment. From meeting Mr. & Mrs. Met, to practicing swings in the ball cage, even running the bases after the game, you are guaranteed a fun filled family day.
